I didn’t start out wanting to work in the nonprofit industry. But the economy was in freefall and I had a mountain of school debt. So I went into sales and learned the system for predictably converting actions into revenue.
My journey in the nonprofit sector began with a single moment of inspiration—a moment that ignited a fire within me to dedicate my life to philanthropy. Coming from a sales background, I was accustomed to hearing “no” more often than “yes.” But when I stepped into the world of nonprofits, I was met with an overwhelming sense of generosity and possibility. It was a Eureka moment that changed the course of my career forever.
Driven by a deep sense of purpose that nonprofits can improve our world and that the role of development is under utilized, I’ve spent years honing my skills and expertise in fundraising, systems and strategy, and nonprofit consulting.
